At Digiscan we are focused on helping automotive, education, financial, hotel, healthcare, real estate, insurance, and legal businesses transition to a paperless environment which translates to our team loving trees as much as anyone. Another organization that loves trees is South Florida’s non-profit “Community Greening (CG)”. While showing companies how going paperless can not only save time and money but also Mother Nature and natural resources we also like to take time to embrace other projects that embrace some of the core values we hold at Digiscan like saving trees through documentation scanning and digital records management. So what are some of the passions of South Florida’s Community Greening (CG) project that caught our attention?

Community Greening (CG), is an urban forestry non-profit based in Palm Beach County that partners with the local community to enhance the environment by planting trees and upgrading urban spaces. Planting over 9,600 trees since 2016 and organizing over 5100 volunteers Community Greening (CG) is a non-profit that provides a wide variety of benefits to the world which is exactly what we do at Digiscan through our digital scanning services and documentation management service and it is always nice to recognize other organizations with similar goals and beliefs. As an award-winning non-profit Community Greening (CG) was named the “SE Partner of the Year” by the US Fish & Wildlife Service and was honored with the prestigious “Spirit of Arbor Day” award from the Arbor Day Foundation showing just how valuable of a service it is. Here are just a few of the traits and characteristics that we admire in Community Greening (CG).

Planting Trees – Creating urban landscapes for a healthy and sustainable environment. By planting trees just like we offer going paperless services we are both able to decrease the environmental impact of suffering from fewer trees in the world.

Green Places – Improves quality of life, civic involvement, and community pride. By creating greenspaces similar to how we can help companies become “greener” through professional scanning services there are a common bond over-improving environments.

Education – Teaches the value of trees and their importance to the earth’s ecosystems. Always striving to educate about key environmental paper topics as you will see in many of our blogs, so does Community Greening (CG) through their outreach projects and urban environmental upgrades.

Example – Being a constant reminder of what it means to make a positive impact. As a document management company, paper shredding service, and digital scanning business that truly cares about its customers and clients as does Community Greening (CG) about its volunteers and urban landscapes it’s always nice to be able to set a good example for the people in your community and the ones you work with.
